Our first Christmas in Canada

In anticipation of our upcoming trip to South Africa, seeing all our family and friends (SSSSSSSSssssssssssssssuper excited!), I thought I’d share a few photos of the first Christmas we have ever celebrated without family or friends!! Although not quite the same excitement, it was still special spending this time with each other!! What you see here is pretty much what we did all day…. cozied up in front of the fire, watched netflix, ate…. we did actually also take our dogs for a loooooooong walk, after which it started snowing!!! All-in-all, a very quiet day!! Not what we’re used to on a Christmas Day!!

Today in a week we will have just landed in South Africa… I’m dreading the horrible 30+ hours of travelling, but I know in the end we’ll be flying high on feel good endorphins and it will all be worth it!!

This is also what our living room currently looks like (up to date photos…. whaaaaat!?) – Baby steps!! 😛 And also, getting your dogs to look at a camera is no easy feat!! Horrible family portraits…. But special to us!!

I think the second to last photo is a fantastic family photo. Even the dogs look great. Have fun in South Africa. When you get back the weather should be somewhat better here.

I like the last one, being able to see how cold it is outside. The room is looking fantastic, you guys have done a great job.

    1. Thanks Leanne!! We are quite in love with how this room is turning out!!! 🙂

    1. Haha!! Thanks Cindy… And yet, home is calling us!! 😉 **

      1. South Africa will always be home, but Canada seems to be the perfect home away from home :).
