Longing for the Mountains…

I thought I’d take a quick break from home renos… But just for the moment! I am starting to feel that winter is dragging on now, and I am desperately awaiting summer’s return!! This year we are planning to spend way more time in the mountains!! We are a 4.5 hour drive from Jasper, so why not?? We took our dogs on their first camping excursion last year & it was awesome!! Here’s hoping our plans pan out…

In the meantime, I am impatiently waiting for summer. While listening to all off James Blunt’s fantastic music, drinking my yummy warm coffee and browsing through my photos, I thought I’d share with you our latest trip to Jasper National Park! Man, do we ever love this place!! The scenery is just magnificent! This trip was in September 2014. A little on the cooler side, and only just for 2 nights! We were fortunate to take over some vouchers for Jasper Park Lodge (who would pass up that opportunity right?)

We had a fantastic time!! Just as a side note – some of these photos were taken by Stef!! (he has quite the eye!) My Mom is planning a visit in June, and obviously Jasper is the main priority!! Maybe a Maligne Lake/Whisper Island hike… I have only been to Maligne Lake once, and it took my breath away!! I can’t wait to go back!!
